Dec. 29th, 2014 08:55 pmAnise never knew her birth parents. And honestly? She couldn't care less. She was in an orphanage when she was really little, knowing her parents left her at an airport. She doesn't know if there were extenuating circumstances. She doesn't care to look for them - her logic being that if they didn't want her enough to keep her, she'll give them exactly that. She'll stay out of their lives. All she has left of them is her doll, Tokunaga, who comes with her everywhere as her 'oldest friend'.
Well, orphanages suck. Foster homes, all that, it wasn't a great situation for a tiny feisty hellion like Anise. She got in trouble a lot, and eventually determined she was done with being a statistic...so she ran away and lived on the streets. It wasn't easy, but she took to it like a duck to the water. She learned to be pragmatic and devious, to count every cent and to take care of herself first. For several years, that worked out for her. And then she got caught stealing some food. She got off with more or less a slap on the wrist since she was stealing for survival, but she landed back in the system.
She was preparing to run off again when she was adopted by the Fukuda family. To her surprise, she actually liked it with them. She had big brothers, parents, a home... It was crowded and lively and everything she wanted. So here she'll stay.
